  Remains of one of the two Roman bridges that spanned the Chrysorhoas linking the growing residential eastern side of Jerash with its western civic quarter (which also was the earliest area settled). Nor much of the original bridgework remains today. However, large parts of the arches still in place today are Roman limestone blocks.
