  The Glass Court receives its name for the great amount of colored melted glass (more than 100 lbs) that was retrieved during excavations in the first half of the twentieth century. Before becoming a glass-making center the room had mosaics which lie buried beneath the surface. The court is today very overgrown and there's not much to see for the untrained eye.
