  Definitely worth a stop. Most of the site still needs a lot of work and investment, however the mosaics in St Stephens church are absolutely amazing. Some if the other mosaics are cocered up so they are not ruined. Tower down the street is worth the quick drive (look for the sign to turn off the main road)

  Sito veramente fantastico, un castrum romano tutto da scoprire. Magari caduti i muri, ma tantissimi archi e doppi archi ancora al loro posto, a sfidare il passare del tempo. Mosaici bizantini di rilievo che ancora conservano colori brillanti e perfezione artistica. Ero sola a visitare questo grande sito, e l'emozione è stata grande. Avrei voluto avere più tempo, perché c'è tantissimo da esplorare. Nn capisco perche' sia così sottovalutato dalle guide turistiche. Poco adatto ai bambini, molti pozzi profondi da cui veniva attinta l'acqua, alcuni nn minimamente protetti. Ottimo.

  Mosaici bellissimi, molto ancora da da portare alla luce, grazie alla sabbia tutto si è conservato. Non ci sono spiegazioni. Fondamentale andare con una guida esperta o prepararsi prima. Soprattutto per la spiegazione dei mosaici

  The ruins invite you to speculate on the buildings' former arrangement. I'm sure I would have got more out of it if I had read up properly beforehand - as it was I was lucky enough to have a fairly knowledgeable companion but if I was going again I'd read up and not wear jeans like an idiot. 🤦
