  May be interesting if someone tells history. Otherwise just a spot for short visit . Good place for photography

  The Jerash Visitor Center hosts very informative displays on Jerash with large wall panels describing the history, culture and architecture of ancient Jerash. The cases have quite interesting artifacts from most periods in the history of Jerash. There is also a video room. If you have time, ask the caretaker to play the informative video about the site for you. In any event, to get a good informed feel of all things pertaining to Jerash before you cross the South Gate, it is a good idea to spent 20 minutes reading the panels and quickly seeing the displays. There are restrooms in the building just outside. Past the Visitor's Center you must show your entry ticket at the kiosk facing the South Gate. Then, you can proceed through the gate into the city proper.
