  Check in was slow. Didn’t feel personal. The food at breakfast was tasteless and bland. The service at the bar area was extremely slow with staff walking right by us, not acknowledging our presence. If you want to have a drink there and have plans made, you need to give yourself plenty of time. Rooms clean but for a superior room I was not impressed. My mountain view room didn’t include that mountain view. The car park view looked lovely. However, we spent hardly any time in that room. Very good location for entry into to Petra and that is the only reason why I would recommend this hotel and you pay a higher cost for that convenience.

  Wonderful hotel! Beautiful decor, professional staff, great food. We stayed here on our visit to Petra. It was great to come back to such a wonderful place after a day of hiking. The location is incredible too, right outside of entrance to Petra. Every detail was thought of including water and fresh fruit in the room. We wish we could have stayed longer. We had a buffet dinner and it was fantastic.

  We booked a junior suite in what you promote as a five star hotel. We travel a great deal so expected more than a medium sized room with a sofa, a bathroom with one sink and a shower that was mounted over the bath in which there was no plug. That is not a suite, nor is it five star by any imagination. The hotel is also the chosen accommodation for large groups so that at popular times the restaurant was Bedlam. Finally, our meal in Al Iwan was something of a disaster (tasteless tuna and raw rack of lamb) although the manager handled it well. Sorry for this, as your staff are brilliant.

  There were three of us and we did not have reservations for the restaurant so we went to the bar. We got there 10 to 8 and asked about Happy Hour. We were told it's almost over and we had to talk the waiters into serving us. We stayed for dinner there too and it was fine until we were leaving and the waiter look at our bill after we signed out to a credit card and asked, "No tip?" I found the question rude but responded, "No, we paid a service charge." He told us, "That's just for the government, oh never mind." AWFUL.

  The water pressure in the shower changes dramatically from very low to very strong as we shower. The air-conditioning didn't work very well and the room was never at the temperature set in the meter. the parking area is too small, making it difficult to park a medium to large size car. Positive: The service and personnel are very polite and willing to help at anytime.
