  I found it comprehensive but not very detailed cataloging of exhibits. One room was completely open with empty cases and to be honest security wasn't great as some crazy man tried touching me as i was trying to sit and enjoy the view. So I recommend don't go alone here. Otherwise the museum was full of rich history.the snack Shoppe could been better but it's Ramadan here so things are different and one must respect the culture. They also need more shaded areas like tables with chairs throughout the area for elders and the disabled with a more comprehensive tours offered more than once a day with as many tourist that come threw.

  museo keskellä Citadel- linnoitusta, on tutustumisen arvoinen...pyörätuolilla valittavasti ei pääse sisälle.

  متحف الآثار الأردني هو متحف أردني بني عام 1951. يقع على قمة جبل القلعة وسط عمّان، ويضم مجاميع القطع الأثرية الواردة للمتحف من الحفريات الأثرية التي أجريت في مختلف مواقع الأردن. ولقد رتبت المجاميع ترتيبا زمنياً متسلسلاً من العصر الحجري القديم وبالتدريج حتى العصور الإسلامية. وتشمل معروضات المتحف قطعا فخارية متنوعة وزجاجية ومعدنية وتماثيل من الفخار الجبص والحجر، ونقوش وكتابات وأختام ومجموعات من الحلي الذهبية، ونقود تمثل مختلف العصور التاريخية. من أهم محتويات المتحف تماثيل عين غزال الجصية التي يعود تاريخها إلى حوالي 6000 ق.م، وكذلك مخطوطة البحر الميت النحاسية المكتوبة بالحروف الآرامية. يفتح المتحف أبوابه من الساعة 9-5 مساءً في الشتاء، ومن الساعة 9-7 مساءً في الصيف، عدا أيام الجمع والعطل الرسمية.
