    The Civic Basilica (official functions and gatherings) and the adjoining Agora (open air meeting place and market) were built around 130 AD during Hadrian's reign. It was destroyed by violent fire in the late 3rd century. The area as not been fully excavated yet, but the west wall of the Civic Basilica can be seen. If you are pressed by time, this area can be missed.
